International Men’s Day is celebrated annually on November 19 to highlight the positive contributions men and boys make to their families, communities, and the world. The day focuses on promoting positive role models and raising essential awareness about men’s well-being. The theme for 2025 is “Celebrating Men and Boys.”.

Promote positive male role models: Highlighting not just celebrities, but everyday working men living decent, honest lives.

Celebrate men’s positive contributions: Acknowledging Men’s efforts in society, community, family, marriage and childcare.

Focus on men’s health and well-being: Addressing Men’s social, emotional, personal, physical, financial and spiritual health.

Highlight discrimination against men: Raising awareness of inequalities men face in social services, attitudes and law.

Improve gender relations: Promoting gender equality and better understanding between genders. Equal Rights. Equal Justice.

Create a safer, better world: Striving for an environment where everyone can be safe and grow to reach their full potential.

Why Celebrate ‘Men’?

Because every story of strength, sacrifice, and silent struggle deserves to be heard.

We celebrate men to recognise their invaluable contributions as fathers, sons, brothers, friends, and partners. Individuals who nurture, protect, and build communities with dedication often left unspoken. From working tirelessly to provide for their families to standing as emotional pillars in times of adversity, men play crucial roles that shape the moral and social fabric of society.

Celebrating men is not about comparison or competition. It is about acknowledging balance and understanding that gender equality can only be achieved when both men and women are valued, respected, and supported. It is about creating space for men to express their emotions, seek help without judgment, and live without the burden of unrealistic expectations.

Today, men face growing challenges such as rising mental health concerns, social stereotypes, and false accusations in criminal cases. International Men’s Day reminds us to address these realities with compassion and fairness.

By celebrating men, we celebrate humanity, fostering empathy, equality, and harmony. Because a just Bharat is one where every gender stands empowered, and every voice is heard with dignity.
